Antwerp EUROPEAN YOUTH CAPITAL 2011

Antwerp is a fantastic place for kids and youngsters to grow up, live, study, work, play, in short, to be themselves. That’s why The European Youth forum crowned Antwerp with the title of European Youth Capital 2011. The city of Antwerp and her youth are particular proud of this crowning and will show this to everybody who wants to see it:

Generation A

The very first youngster communication bureau, contrives crazy campaigns,designs the most funky bill bords and graphics and owns Facebook and Twitter. In short, they let every youngster in Antwerp and far beyond, know what they have to know for 2011. These young ambitious and talented communication makers can be found at Kavka, Oudaan 14, 2000 Antwerp. Every youngster that wants to help them design, write, and scream it out loud on the streets are more than welcome! No need for experience!

More than 150 parties, big events and creative projects

During 2011 AEYC2011 organises all kinds of activities for and by youngsters together withmore than 100 partners. In 2011 kids and youngsters will be able to enjoy more than 150parties, big events and creative projects in the entire city. Everybody: big, small, individuals,little groups, big groups, organisations, city services,… Everybody engages to put all kids andyoungsters on the foreground in 2011. City services contrive new measures on the demandand need of youngsters, existing events and parties get a new young touch, youngsters helpbehind the scenes AND there will off course originate new spots and events. AEYC2011 by youngsters

Everything that AEYC2011 contrives, makes and does, happens in dialogue with youngsters. After all youngsters know best what they want. They advice the team of AEYC2011 and her partners on all their plans and dreams. Starting from the first brainstorm to the set up of the stages, the serving of drinks, to cleaning up and going home. Youngsters are in charge!
