Zonzo company turns “het Steen” into a real music labyrinth. Kids from the age of 4 can explore an interactive and spectacular music trail. A guide takes you, your friends and your family on a surprising trip trough “het Steen”. You can play all the music art pieces and create your own music. Kids can even join the trip without their mom and dad. Meanwhile parents can take a break at our bar.
A trip trough “het Steen” takes about a half an hour and it’s best to make reservations. The trip costs 4€ for minors (-18) and 6€ for adults (+18). You must take a look at this huge opening festival at “Het Steen”, Saturday the 25th of June.
IMPORTANT: from 4 years old! Children under 7 years need to be accompanied by an adult.
Unfortunately Het Steen is not accessible for wheelchairs

Together with 800 kids, we will count down to the official kick-off of the year in which Antwerp will be the European Youth Capital. The kids will arrive in colorful parades between 10:00 and 11:00.
Once everyone has gathered in the train station, we will count down together. From then on, Antwerp will officially be the third European Youth Capital. La Murga Armada and Bart Peeters will be there to celebrate, dance, swing and sing!
Tour de Nord is a XL Street festival in Northern Antwerp, from Sint-Jansplein to the Offerandestraat. Stroll through a flea market, discover the newest design, enjoy a bite at one of many food stalls and attend a lot of musical performances. What’s More : This year Tour de Nord focuses on youth! They help organizing and get the chance to show their talents on stage during the festival. Don’t miss out on this unique atmosphere in Northern Antwerp!
Kunstbende is an art competition for youngsters aged 13 to 19. This will be the 12th edition with its final taking place in Antwerp. On the occasion of AEYC 2011, winners of other “Kunstbende” finals from abroad will also be invited to show their skills!
From 14:00 you are invited in the Central Train Station for the time of your life. The event will start with a massive pop-up festival: demos, performances, workshops and surprises will be organized everywhere in and outside the station.
At 16:00 two big stages will be opened where two festivals will take place. Something for everyone, as the line-up suggests. There’s also a fantastic afterparty so you can groove from one dance floor to the other!
Youngsters occupying surprise locations to party for half an hour. Do you want to spin some records, tap or just swing and shake?
Yannick Leclercq is a young dj with great dreams and ambitions. He organizes a big party in youth centre Kavka, where young dj’s get the chance to show their skills on stage for a live crowd.
DJ’s, breakdance, basketball, slam poetry, writing trajects, ... You can enjoy it all in Berchem! Balls and beats presents you smashing shows and demo’s.
A party boat sailing from Berendrecht, carrying youngsters on the water while they’re having a good time!
The open air theatre in Deurne is scheduling extra children and youth artists during the summer of 2011. Young local artists will also get the chance to play on the stage! The youth council organizes an additional program starting at 14:00.
